The Grand Hall, Auditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University (35 Krupnicza str.)- Address by the President of Poland
Apart from the official ceremony, the agenda includes:
- Address by the Minister of Economy
- Address by the President of Krakow, President of Katowice and President of Sosnowiec
- Address by the President of the World Mining Congress - „50 years of the World Mining Congress"
- a preview of the art exhibition entitled: "Marked by coal - Silesian Artists of the Mining Descent" venue: Exhibition Hall
- a preview of the Polish domestic philatelic exhibition Cracow 2008 entitled: "Mining on Polish Postage Stamps" venue: Exhibition Hall
